Websites from $499 / You own everything, day one / Spokane & the Inland Northwest
We’re a Spokane web design company that publishes its prices. Web design in Spokane starts at $499, not because we cut corners, but because we’ve built hundreds of these and the process is settled. You approve the design before we build it, and you own the domain, the hosting and every file the day it goes live.
The number is real and so is the list.
You see the actual design on an actual page before anything gets built. Not a mockup in a PDF, not a template with your logo dropped in, the real thing, at the real width, on the real fonts. If it isn’t right we change it then, when changing it is cheap. Most of the horror stories people tell about web projects start with approving something they couldn’t really picture.
The build is mobile responsive from the first draft, not retrofitted at the end. Most people looking for a local business are on a phone, often while they’re already out and deciding between two options. The phone layout gets designed first and the desktop version follows from it, rather than the other way round. A site that’s awkward on mobile loses the visitor before they’ve read a sentence, and no amount of desktop polish gets them back.
Headings in a real hierarchy, descriptive URLs, internal links that make sense, schema markup, and titles and meta descriptions written per page rather than generated. This is the part most cheap builds skip, because it doesn’t show up in a screenshot. It’s also the part that decides whether the site ever gets found.
Images compressed and served in modern formats, scripts kept to what the page actually needs, and caching configured. Speed is a ranking factor and a conversion factor, Google’s own research puts the probability of a bounce up 32% as load time goes from one second to three. Building fast is cheaper than making a slow site fast later.
Wired up, submitted, and confirmed to land in your inbox before the site goes live. It sounds obvious. It is also the single most common thing we find broken when we take over someone else’s site, a form that has quietly been discarding inquiries for months without anyone noticing.
The hosting account is yours, under your billing, with your login. If you leave, nothing needs migrating and nobody needs to hand anything over. This is deliberately the opposite of how most agencies do it, and it’s the thing we’d want asked of us if we were the ones buying.
Color contrast, form labels, alt text and keyboard navigation are handled during the build to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. For a medical or legal practice this isn’t a nice extra. It’s the bar you’re expected to meet, and retrofitting it costs considerably more than building it in.
The domain is registered in your name. Every file is handed over on request. There’s no part of your website that lives somewhere you can’t reach, and no login you’d have to pry out of us. You can take the whole thing to another agency tomorrow and we’d send it over the same day.
Before a page gets written we look at what Google currently rewards for that exact search in Spokane. That means reading the pages that rank, how long they are, which topics they cover, which questions they answer, how they structure their headings, and then building a page designed to compete with them rather than one that simply looks good.
It matters because the answer changes per page. The pages that rank for web design spokane look nothing like the ones that rank for wordpress web design spokane, and the Coeur d’Alene results are a different set of companies again. A template applied across all of them would be wrong in most places.
Structure, headings, schema and page speed are then part of the build itself. They are not a separate line item and not something you get offered six months later when the site isn’t bringing anything in.
A short call about what your business actually sells and who you want calling. No workshop, no deck.
You see the real design on a real page and approve it, before a single page gets built.
Built to rank, not just to look right. Structure, schema and speed handled as part of the work.
Domain, hosting and files in your name. Keep us on if you want to. Don’t if you don’t.

Most Spokane web designers won’t show a number until you’ve booked a call. A few do publish figures, and one or two start lower than we do. We show all four tiers on the page, so you can work out what your site costs in about a minute without talking to anyone, and compare it against whatever else you’re quoted. If the job is bigger than a tier, we say so in writing, with the reason.
Domain, hosting, files. Google’s own guidance on hiring an SEO tells buyers to ask who will own the site and the data. Almost nobody in this market answers it on their website, so we answer it before you ask.
Every page gets built against what’s currently ranking in Spokane for that specific service, how long those pages are, which topics they cover, how they structure their headings. A page built to compete beats a page built to look nice.
Spokane Web Design Co is backed by Salterra Digital Services, a veteran-owned agency building websites since 2011. Elisabeth Samuels leads the design and development division, and Salterra’s team fulfills every project we deliver.
The portfolio below is real client work, not stock mockups, and we can walk you through case studies for any of it, what the brief was, what we built, what changed. Ask for the detail on anything that looks like your situation.
We’ve built most often for med spas, IV therapy and aesthetics clinics, roofing and foundation-repair contractors, landscapers, general contractors and construction firms, dental practices, law firms, HVAC companies and restaurants. Each of those has a page of its own with the research behind it, because a roofing site and a dental site are not the same problem, the buyer’s urgency is different, the trust signals are different, and the questions they need answered before calling are different.
The list isn’t a limit. If your trade isn’t on it, the work and the price don’t change; we just do the research on your market instead of drawing on research we’ve already done. Ask, and we’ll tell you honestly whether we’ve built for your kind of business before.
Spokane web design starts at $499 for up to 15 pages, $999 for 16 to 50, and $1,499 for 51 or more. Those are real prices, published, before you call anyone. It’s that number because the process is settled after hundreds of builds, not because anything is missing from the list above. A few Spokane agencies do publish figures, and one or two start lower than ours; plenty more won’t name anything until you’ve booked a call. The question worth asking either way is what the number actually covers, and who owns the site when it’s finished.
Nationally, quotes run from a few hundred dollars for a template to well over ten thousand for an agency build. Spokane spans most of that range: some agencies here publish figures (you’ll find everything from a few hundred to $3,500 and up) while others won’t name a price until you’ve booked a call. Ours start at $499 for up to 15 pages, $999 for 16 to 50, and $1,499 for 51 or more, with ecommerce or compliance work quoted individually. What matters more than the headline number is what it includes and whether you own the result.
It depends almost entirely on who you hire and how many pages you need. A freelancer will typically quote somewhere between $2,000 and $8,000; an agency usually starts around $10,000 and climbs from there. Both are defensible numbers for the work involved. We publish tiers instead of quoting individually, so you can work out roughly what your site costs in about a minute rather than waiting on a proposal.
In cash, yes, a website builder subscription runs $15 to $50 a month and you can have something live in a weekend. In time, usually not. The part that takes the time isn’t dragging blocks around, it’s the structure underneath: heading hierarchy, internal linking, schema, page speed, and writing pages against what actually ranks. If you enjoy that work, genuinely do it yourself. We’d rather say so than sell you something you don’t need.
No. The tiers are published above. Send us what your business does and roughly how many pages you think you need, and you’ll get a written quote back with a price and a timeline. If the job doesn’t fit a tier we’ll tell you what it costs and why, in the same reply, not on a call scheduled for next week.
We start from what’s already working rather than throwing it out. Pages that currently earn traffic keep their URLs. Anything that gets replaced gets a redirect, so the rankings you’ve built follow you across instead of resetting to zero. This is the single most common way a redesign goes wrong, and it’s entirely avoidable. It just has to be planned before the build, not discovered after launch.
You approve the design before anything gets built, which settles the part of the process that usually drags. Once that’s signed off the build runs to a fixed scope, and we give you a date in the quote that you can hold us to. A Starter site is typically a couple of weeks; larger builds scale with the page count, and we’ll tell you the number up front rather than discovering it halfway.
Tell us what your business does and we’ll come back with a free quote, a real price and a timeline, usually the same day. No consultation call required first, though we’re happy to have one if you’d rather talk it through.
